How do the new labour codes impact POSH training requirements in 2026?

While POSH compliance is governed by the POSH Act, 2013, the new labour codes significantly strengthen the expectation of a POSH training in 2026. They expand the scope of who is considered part of the workforce, bringing contract labour, gig workers, and third party staff more clearly within the PoSH compliance framework.

Is POSH training mandatory every year?

Yes. The POSH Act stipulates regular training on Prevention of Sexual Harassment at the workplace for the employees as well as IC members. Details of such PoSH training needs to be included in the annual report which has to be filed every year with the District Committee. Best practice is to conduct POSH training annually.

How can we train our blue collar and contract workforce on POSH?

While POSH compliance is governed by the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act, 2013, the new labour codes significantly expand its scope to gig workers and third party or agency workers.

XLPro’s POSH animated e-module is available in English and 7 other regional languages which can be deployed to train contract workforce.

Further we have developed a specialized animated video on POSH with scenarios specifically aimed at blue collared workers. This 15 minutes video can be used to train the blue collared workers on preventing and redressing sexual harassment at workplace.

Do you have a separate e-learning module for POSH IC members?

Yes. XLPro has designed a separate e-learning module for POSH IC members, which focuses on the complaint investigation mechanism and challenges which IC members might come across during investigations procedure.

Can the completion certificates be used to file POSH annual report?

Yes. Completion of online POSH e-learning modules generates certificates on XLPro’s LMS, which capture name of the learner and the completion date. These along with the LMS completion reports can be used as an evidence of POSH training in annual reports and can help organizations meet mandatory training requirements under the PoSH Act, 2013.
